1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using ConnectEd ("the Service"), operated at useconnected.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
ConnectEd is an AI-powered tool that helps students find professionals, professors, and research mentors, and generate personalized cold emails for outreach. The Service includes:
- AI-powered directory search for professionals and academics
- Personalized cold email generation based on your resume and the recipient's profile
- Optional Gmail integration to send emails directly from your Google account
- Free and premium subscription tiers
3. Account Registration
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 14 years old to use the Service.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Send spam, unsolicited bulk emails, or harassing messages
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity or qualifications
- Violate any applicable laws, including anti-spam legislation (CAN-SPAM, GDPR)
- Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the Service beyond normal use
- Use the Service for any commercial bulk email or marketing campaigns
5. Email Sending
When you use ConnectEd to send emails — whether via our platform or through Gmail integration — you are solely responsible for the content and recipients of those emails. ConnectEd generates email drafts using AI, but you are responsible for reviewing and approving all content before sending. We do not guarantee that any email will receive a response.
6. Google Account Integration
If you choose to connect your Google account, you authorize ConnectEd to send emails on your behalf through the Gmail API. You can revoke this access at any time from your Google Account permissions page. ConnectEd's use of Google user data is limited to sending emails you explicitly initiate and is subject to our Privacy Policy.
7. Subscriptions and Payments
ConnectEd offers free and premium subscription plans. Premium subscriptions are billed monthly or yearly through Stripe. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Upon cancellation, you retain access to premium features until the end of your current billing period. Refunds are not provided for partial billing periods.
8. AI-Generated Content
Emails and search results generated by ConnectEd are produced by artificial intelligence. While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that AI-generated content is error-free, appropriate for all contexts, or that contact information found through our search is current or correct. You are responsible for verifying all information before use.
9. Intellectual Property
The ConnectEd platform, including its design, code, and branding, is the property of ConnectEd. Content you create or upload (resumes, emails) remains your property. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely to provide the Service.
10. Limitation of Liability
ConnectEd is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to: failed email delivery, inaccurate search results, loss of data, or consequences of emails sent through the platform. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in abusive behavior, or use the Service for spam. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify users of significant changes by email.
